Would it be possible to upload them all to YouTube as unlisted and then point Gemini to them? Not sure the limitations wrt unlisted videos. Maybe also could’ve been done with the @google photos operator if uploaded to Google Photos if not a corporate google workspace Gemini instance

I'm not sure if it's possible or not, the goal of my project was to utilize local models and your local machine instead of uploading your videos to the cloud. there's couple of cloud services that offer video indexing very well, I could name a few like Tweleve Labs (I'm not affiliated with them but I did a presentation at one of their webinar).

Reminds me of the poem / song “All I wanna do”

"All I wanna do is have a little fun before I die" Says the man next to me out of nowhere It's apropos of nothing, he says his name is William I'm sure he's Bill or Billy or Mac or Buddy And he's plain ugly to me And I wonder if he's ever had a day of fun in his whole life We are drinking beer at noon on Tuesday In a bar that faces a giant car wash The good people of the world Are washing their cars on their lunch break Hosing and scrubbing as best they can in skirts in suits

Can we get the link to that TikTok? lol

Also what do you think about goose

I have a question about markdown on MacBook Pro. You know the preview feature - I think it’s called quick quicklook - how can I get that to work for markdown? I’ve associated .md files to always open with my IDE, but they still don’t render with the preview which is a mild annoyance. In my IDE i do use an extension to render the Md so that could be why and I could understand why recursive invocation may not be exposed at or available to the preview extension level. But any suggestions?

I built https://sdocs.dev which solves this pain point.

You can “sdoc file.md” to instantly open it.

It was discussed on Hacker News here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=47777633

Look for a quicklook markdown plugin. Google found this: https://github.com/sbarex/QLMarkdown

I use https://github.com/sbarex/QLMarkdown and find it useful.

use leaf, quick install and standalone binary : https://github.com/RivoLink/leaf

It’s kind of interesting that this happens so shortly after they proudly announced how easily they would’ve able to migrate all systems from Microsoft and US firms. Maybe next year will be the year of the Linux desktop

I love this - watching the hurricanes game right now! Autorefresh would be nice and then it looks like a small bug in the faceoff percentage as they both say 100% which shouldn't be possible at any point in the game. Also would be sick to be able to enter the team and roster detail page from within the game detail page. But I love this so much and appreciate you for building it :D

edit the face off percentage is still a little off it's updated to show this 87% - 67%. Also followed you on twitter and github.

Thanks! I will look into these bugs, it’s a PIA because you can only debug those while there is a live game… Same with auto-refresh, it should work but for some reason it’s inconsistent.

Lmao I love this flavor of the ‘tism that always surfaces in hn comment threads exactly like this. Like moths to a flame

Good news: this cat and mouse game is keeping some of our brothers / sisters in software employed at FAANG. I feel like the girl from the kombucha reaction gif weighing both sides in this back and forth rally lol

This is my favorite type of interaction to see when browsing HN. I feel like this respectful mosh pit of ideas and practitioners is uniquely rad. Thanks for the serendipity dopamine this Sunday
