We're hiring a senior software engineer for AI for the Planet at Ai2.
We build production ML systems for conservation, oceans, climate, and Earth observation. The work is very applied: satellite imagery, geospatial ML pipelines, agent systems, and products used by researchers, governments, and conservation organizations.
Looking for someone who enjoys building end-to-end systems, shipping production software, and working closely with researchers and users.
1) accessibility to non-technical folks. For the first time, they are having the Claude Code experience that we've had as software engineers for some time now

To answer your question: our dev environment is iso to staging and production with AWS accounts for each developer. The cost is close to 0. Deploying and testing a code change takes seconds. Deploying and testing a config change however is still a little bit longer for sure...
